Description
I came up with this concept just before my art teacher announced a project with a similar concept in mind.
The original idea was a whole lot darker, being inspired from/during a sensory overload/panic attack.
MOST of this is symbolism. Some are just windows I filled with pretty designs because the assignment was going to be late.
The top half is really the important stuff.
At the very top, we have in order from left to right: Despair, calm, passion, stress.
The pink wood-like texture is the counterpart for the left-hand side image of eyes embedded in a similar texture, which represents fear of judgement.
The clouds are in her head. Because it's a pun. And ironic. Head in the clouds, clouds in the head. My mom thinks I'm funny. [i think...]
Her feet hover over spikes and dry leathery material. Strife. Fear. It's fairly self-explanatory. [i want to color over the crackly whatsit. It always stood out too much to me in all the wrong ways.]
From her hand, she strikes cracks in the earth, which fade into trees. The idea is that from destruction, beauty may come forth.
The wind behind her hand is the sense of free spirit and the will to obtain it.
Many of the other panels simply refer to the dreamer within[also not getting a lower grade for a late assignment].
there are other things too I just don't really want to delve into them so have fun interpreting and junk.

this is a really pretty piece. I really like the symbolism and the way the body is colored like the sky.
